Summary

This article focuses on the family and God’s plan for it, that is, the dynamism of divine love. The reflection is situated in the present-day context where some of the current opinions want to see the family built on matrimony substituted by "families" which are constructed in various ways. Instead, the Christian family is built on the sacrament of matrimony, and is a great resource for all of humanity. It is a special sign of God’s love brought to fulfilment by Christ in His Paschal Mystery. In him, human love finds the vital strength of love, and in the Eucharist the couple and the whole family find nourishment for becoming believable witnesses of the Divine Love.

Il saggio considera la realtà della famiglia nel disegno di Dio, ossia nel dinamismo dell’amore divino. Colloca la riflessione nel contesto attuale ove, in alcune opinioni correnti, la famiglia fondata sul matrimonio sembra essere sostituita dalle "famiglie" variamente configurate. La famiglia cristiana invece, fondata sul sacramento del matrimonio, costituisce una grande risorsa per l’umanità. Essa è un peculiare segno dell’amore di Dio portato a compimento da Cristo nel suo mistero pasquale. In Lui l’amore umano attinge la forza vitale della carità, e nell’Eucaristia i coniugi e tutta la famiglia nutrendosi in essa possono diventare testimonianza credibile dell’amore divino.
