Maria Goretti: Il coraggio di scegliere

Résumé

Les Célébrations du Jubilé ont porté à la mémoire beaucoup de témoins courageux de la foi. Quelques-uns d’entre eux sont très jeunes parmi lesquels on trouve Sainte Marie Goretti. À l’occasion du centenaire de sa mort, on a célébré à Rome, du 1er au 3 novembre 2002, un Congrès sur le thème : « Marie Goretti : le courage de choisir ». La rencontre, articulée en trois points thématiques : les racines d’une histoire, Un témoignage qui inquiète, Le courage de choisir la vie, a été promue par les Pères Passionistes en collaboration avec la Faculté Pontificale des Sciences de l’Éducation « Auxilium ». Dans la revue, nous publions deux relations. La première, considérant la vie de la Sainte, s’arrête sur la liberté comme lieu d’authenticité, possible même en situations particulièrement difficiles. La seconde souligne l’importance de l’éducation en faveur de la liberté des jeunes générations. Les deux relations offrent des réflexions et des perspectives de grande valeur éducative.

Summary

The Jubilee celebrations reminded us of many courageous witnesses of the faith. Some of them were very young. Among these is Saint Mary Goretti. On the occasion of the centenary of her death (July 6, 2003) a convention, «Mary Goretti: the courage to choose» was held in Rome from the 1st to 3rd of November 2002. It was organized by the Passionists Fathers and the Pontifical Faculty of Educational Sciences “Auxilium”. There were three main themes: History’s Roots; A Challenging Witness; The Courage to Choose Life. The Rivista is publishing two of the conferences. The first, considering the life of the Saint, highlights freedom as the space for authenticity even in particularly difficult circumstances. The second underlines the importance of education that promotes freedom in the younger generations. Both offer reflections and prospectives with great educational value, and can favor commitment to self-formation as well as help to the younger generations.

Le celebrazioni del giubileo hanno portato alla memoria tanti coraggiosi testimoni della fede. Alcuni di loro sono giovanissimi. Tra questi si colloca Santa Maria Goretti. In occasione del centenario della sua morte si è celebrato a Roma, dal 1 al 3 novembre 2002, un Convegno sul tema: “Maria Goretti: il coraggio di scegliere”. L’incontro, articolato in tre nuclei tematici: Le radici di una storia, Una testimonianza che inquieta, Il coraggio di scegliere la vita, è stato promosso dai Padri Passionisti in collaborazione con la Pontificia Facoltà di Scienze dell’Educazione “Auxilium”. Nella rivista pubblichiamo due relazioni. La prima, considerando la vita della Santa, si sofferma sulla libertà come luogo di autenticità, possibile anche in situazioni particolarmente difficili. La seconda sottolinea l’importanza dell’educazione per favorire la libertà nelle giovani generazioni. Entrambe le relazioni offrono riflessioni e prospettive di grande valore educativo.

Las celebraciones del jubileo han traído a la memoria muchas figuras de testigos de la fe. Algunos de éstos son muy jóvenes. Entre ellos se coloca Santa María Goretti. En ocasión del centenario de su muerte se tuvieron en Roma, del 1 al 3 de noviembre del 2002, algunas celebraciones y encuentros de studio sobre el tema: María Goretti: la valentía de elegir la vida. Los encuentros, articulados entorno a tres núcleos temáticos: Las raíces de una historia, Un testimonio que inquieta, La valentía de elegir la vida, fueron promovidos por los Padres Pasionistas en colaboración con la Pontificia Facolta di Scienze dell’Educazione “Auxilium”. En la revista publicamos dos relaciones. La primera, considerando la vida de la Santa, se concentra sobre la libertad como sede de autenticidad, posible aún en situaciones particularmente difíciles. La segunda subraya la importancia de la educación para favorecer el ejercicio de la libertad en las jóvenes generaciones. Las dos relaciones ofrecen oportunidades para reflexionar y perspectivas de grande valor educativo.

Abstrakt

Celebracje roku jubileuszowego przywołały na pamie˛c wielu odwaznych swiadków wiary. Niektórzy z nich to ludzie bardzo młodzi. Miedzy nimi jest Maria Goretti. Z okazji stulecia jej smierci odbył sie˛ w Rzymie, w dniach od 1 do 3 listopada 2002 roku,Kongres na temat: «Maria Goretti: odwaga wybierania». Spotkanie, złozone z trzech sekcji tematycznych: Korzenie pewnej historii, Swiadectwo, które niepokoi, Odwaga wybierania zycia, zostało zorganizowane przez Ojców Pasjonistów, we współpracy z Papieskim Wydziałem Nauk Wychowawczych «Auxlium». W czasopismie zamieszczamy dwa referaty. Pierwszy, wychodzac od danych biograficznych Swie˛tej, skupia uwage˛na wolnosci jako miejscu autentycznosci, mozliwym równiez w sytuacjach szczególnie trudnych. Drugi referat podkresla waznosc wychowania dla kształtowania postawy wolnosci w młodych pokoleniach. Obydwa teksty przedstawiaja refleksje i perspektywy o wielkim znaczeniu wychowawczym.
