To cultivate the talent to educate and train education professionals who are competent and passionate, the Auxilium Faculty is constantly engaged in innovating the training skills available and the strategies for teaching and learning, in order to ensure a holistic education in the field of the educational sciences.

The Auxilium Faculty participates in research in the international scientific community as an interlocutor for reflection in the area of pedagogical knowledge; it also establishes networks with other institutions and provides a specific, unique contribution to the education of women and young people.

The Auxilium Faculty gives special attention to the society in which it lives.
Along with its foundational goals of training and research by its faculty and students, it is committed to communicating and promoting pedagogical formation to sustain a culture of life. It understands its cultural mission as a presence "in the service of thought" in "pastoral care of the culture" and in "intellectual charity"; it offers its services in the "territories" in which it functions as a cultural reference centre for the study and promotion of education policies.

“Questa raccolta aggiunge una nota di storica bellezza alla celebrazione del 150° di fondazione dell’Istituto delle Figlie di Maria Ausiliatrice (FMA) perché, attraverso le statistiche delle opere e delle comunità, ripercorre la storia dello sviluppo del carisma salesiano in Italia.
La prima caratteristica che emerge da questo lavoro è la capacità creativa e geniale delle FMA nel saper cogliere ed accogliere la realtà delle bambine, delle ragazze, delle donne in un contesto politico-sociale in continua evoluzione, dal 1872 fino ad oggi.
È interessante notare come nella distribuzione territoriale nelle varie Regioni, in fedeltà a don Bosco e a madre Mazzarello, ovunque le FMA si sono adattate con semplicità e senza pretese, spesso nella povertà estrema e nella mancanza del necessario.
Le difficoltà incontrate sono state per loro una chiamata di Dio e un’opportunità nuova per dare un’adeguata risposta alle situazioni di povertà e di molteplici esigenze educative.
Il testo mette in luce il realismo della fedeltà alla missione dei Fondatori. Leggendo il testo ci accorgeremo di non essere di fronte a freddi dati statistici, ma ad una realtà che parla di vita e di fedeltà appassionata al Carisma”.
