The Auxilium Faculty is an institution of excellence that develops and innovates in the areas of prevention and the holistic education of the person in order to train educational professionals, prepare lay people and religious in the new evangelization environment who are able to dialogue in intercultural and inter-religious settings, and empower women and young people.

Along with its foundational goals of training and research by its faculty and students, it is committed to communicating and promoting pedagogical formation to sustain a culture of life. It understands its cultural mission as a presence "in the service of thought" in "pastoral care of the culture" and in "intellectual charity"; it offers its services in the "territories" in which it functions as a cultural reference centre for the study and promotion of education policies.

Il “K2”, l’imponente vetta dominante il ghiacciaio del Baltoro nella catena del Karakorum, è un simbolo. Audacia senza temerarietà, prudenza senza codardia, tenacia senza durezza, solidarietà e iniziativa personale, cura del dettaglio e rinuncia del transitorio allettante, senso del limite e forza liberatrice dell’ideale ne resero possibile la conquista. Il problema di Dio, per l’uomo viatore, è il “K2” della ragione. Dio non è verità inaccessibile, ché anzi è la Verità che fa l’intelletto intelletto. Ma la sua non è una conquista immediata; si attua nella mediazione di un lento, faticoso cammino di liberazione. La conquista della vetta è personale, ma ai campi base si arriva in cordata! La testimonianza ce la offre un filosofo, Nicola Petruzzellis, scelto fra molti per la validità e il rigore delle sue argomentazioni, per l’attualità delle sue conclusioni ancorate alla philosophia perennis secondo il principio: vetera novis augere et perficere.
