In questo volume vengono analizzate le complesse dinamiche psichiche e relazionali che, all’interno di alcuni nuclei familiari, possono determinare l’abuso incestuoso nei confronti del soggetto in crescita. In particolare, si focalizza l’attenzione sui vissuti dolorosi, spesso gestiti attraverso meccanismi di difesa, sottolineando la loro incidenza sul funzionamento fisiologico, cognitivo, affettivo-relazionale delle vittime. L’indagine empirica di carattere esplorativo, effettuata su un gruppo di minori del Kenya, evidenzia al vivo quanto lo spazio corporeo e psichico di chi ha subito l’incesto viene pervaso da forti sentimenti intollerabili nel rapporto con sé e con gli altri. A livello educativo il testo mette a fuoco alcuni interventi differenziati, volti a stimolare i processi di resilienza nel traumatizzato, e alcuni percorsi operativi per la promozione di un sufficiente livello di sicurezza nell’ambiente vitale dei minori.
