Summary

The article begins with reference to the origins of economic theories, showing the negative consequences in terms of happiness, relationships, gratuity and a lack of the presence of community living, all due to the expansion of the market, of contracts, and to the consideration of the isolated individual as the centre of economic choices. The second part of the article analyzes the perspective of a civil economy as a fruitful way that economic theories are beginning to explore, which place the human person at the centre along with relationships, thus contributing to the edification of the community.

L'articolo, partendo dalle origini della teoria economica, mostra le conseguenze negative in termini di felicità, relazioni, gratuità e mancata fioritura della vita in comune, dovute all'estendersi della sfera del mercato e dei contratti, e al considerare l'individuo isolato come il soggetto al centro delle scelte economiche. Nella seconda parte si analizza la prospettiva dell'economia civile come strada feconda che la teoria economica ha iniziato a percorrere e che pone al centro la persona e le relazioni, contribuendo così all'edificazione della comunità.
